Position Summary

The Business Intelligence Analyst will lead our efforts to become a truly data-driven business. This role will be accountable for data acquisition, integrity, and management; analysis and insight into operational metrics. The ideal candidate will have experience in both the technical, day-to-day management of data and the ability to derive insights from it. This is a highly visible, roll-up-your-sleeves role that will have considerable interaction with the senior leadership team.


  • Architect, deploy and maintain our platforms/data sources
  • Manage data synchronization and transfer between disparate sources such as Marketo, Salesforce (SFDC), Zendesk, Amplitude, Chargify, Stripe and internal databases
  • Implement appropriate data collection, cleansing, combination, migration, synchronization and storage mechanisms; obsess over data integrity
  • Manage the data source tables and synchronization between payment gateway/subscription database and finance systems
  • Automate and improve existing company processes and workflows related to data
  • Lead analytical efforts to identify opportunities for operational improvement
  • Build reporting tools and dashboards to provide efficient visibility on KPIs
  • Gather and provide data to aid in the development of financial models and forecasts
  • Be the expert on all things data at GoAnimate


  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably for a SaaS company, in sales operations, marketing operations, quantitative analysis or business intelligence
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large amounts of data from disparate sources, including collection, consolidation, analysis, and synthesizing into a cohesive framework
  • SQL: Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries is required (test will be administered)
  • Marketing operations: Understanding of web analytics, direct response marketing measurement, traditional sales & marketing metrics and key performance indicators
  • Marketing: Hands-on experience with quantitative marketing or user acquisition is preferred
  • Excel: Advanced proficiency, including importing data from multiple sources, organizing data using pivot tables, utilizing macros and advanced functions, and creating charts to visually display data
  • SaaS: Understanding of SaaS business models and metrics is preferred
  • Marketo & Salesforce: Ability to create, manage and edit custom objects, fields, connectors, rules, security settings, reports and dashboards
  • Web analytics: Setup, page, and clickstream analysis using Google Analytics or equivalent
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical, modeling and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly grasp and implement analytical and creative problem-solving techniques
  • Communication & teamwork: Ability to interpret information and communicate effectively to co-workers at multiple levels of an organization
  • Energy & enthusiasm: Self-motivated, proactive, get-things-done dynamo who lives to improve data and drive results
  • BS/BA degree in information technology, business, marketing or equivalent preferred but not required


This is a full-time position based in our San Mateo, CA office.
